Blog #1

Part One:
The wilderness is free
The wilderness lives in me
With animals free to roam around
The wilderness hold all it's furry friends down
It's plants are also special too
The wilderness live in me and lives in you

Part Two:
This article talks about how the Batwa people were moved from there homeland in order for industrial things such  as mining companies and oil companies to move in. This really shows how much we as a world are making industrialization a priority over saving and keeping our natural habitats in their most natural state. It is truly a crime and should be illegal to push people that have lived in a certain area for as long as they have out. The article then goes on and clarifies that this not the first time this has happened and how many natives of other lands have been moved out of the way to make room for big companies. Something needs to be done to stop this madness.

Part Three:
1). The goal of the National Park Service is to protect the natural and cultural resources for the future generations of America.
2). The National Park Service does the most they can to achieve their goal however with things such as fuels from cars and other unintentional harms to the environment, it is hard to achieve it 100%.
3). Some achievements the National Park Service has are improving 17 miles of park trails, 33 protected endangered species, and over 7 million hours of community service. Some of their failures are being rejected after asking to have the Smithsonian to have a national mall and harassing Tourmobile for carrying around passengers.

Part Four:
1). There are tree farms in Atlanta such as Berry Patch Farm and  Coker Tree Farm in Lawrenceville and Gainesville. These tree farms are mainly used as Christmas Tree farms for Christmas trees.
2). If a tree farm is not thinned, the things that grow on the tree may come out smaller than they really should be.
3). Fernbank Forest is an old growth forest in atlanta. Toilet paper and tissue are made from old growth forests.

Nothing Was The Same (After Tesla)

Tesla is a electric car company that has made it to the top of luxury cars list. It has been voiced by many that once other luxury car companies start putting out their own electric cars, Tesla will been forgotten and not even recognized as the first and best to do it. However the question at hand is will Tesla ever dominate the mass-market? Tesla's owner claims Tesla will dominate the mass-market by 2017. I guess only time will tell. Here's a link to the actual article:

Blog Post (Easter Island)

The life of the New England Forests and Easter Island are extremely different. After pilgrims came to Massachusetts and took over land, they eventually left either for financial reasons or for better job opportunities. And after the pilgrims left, the land they left was able to thrive. Not only were the species seen before the arrival of the pilgrims grew, but also new species were growing and becoming dominant. Every species helped another thrive and grow. On the other hand, Easter Island had an opposite outcome. Not only did the land suffer, but the humans ended up having to leave because of how poor the environment was. And the sad part is fate of Easter Island relates a lot to Earth as a whole. At the rate the we're going, Earth may end up like Easter Island. Just like how the people of Easter Island used up their forests for things like fire, buildings, transporting goods,( and building statues -____-) we here on Earth are also using up our forests for some of the same things if not more. By not knowing how to use our land properly, we are harming ourselves and the Earth just like how the Polynesians' not knowing caused Easter Island to fail.

Fishies Need Love Too!

Freshwater biodiversities have been completely overlooked when thinking of the impact of land development. Some of the problems that were brought up were increased run off, downstream flooding, and pollution. Sebastian Martinuzzi, a doctoral researcher claims they aare thinking of every possible danger that could be caused to these underwater biodiversities, and are taking them into consideration. So far, they have noticed places in southeastern U.S. will cause the most harm. Below is a link to the actual article:
